Revware Principal Roadskates for Multiple Sclerosis
Revware President takes on the challenge of distance skating to raise awareness .
RALEIGH, NC — March 3, 2009 — Tom Welsh, a principal of Revware, inc., the developer of the RevWorks CAD-Driven Reverse Engineering (CADRE) technology and SolidWorks Gold Partner, today announces that he is seeking sponsors for his attempt to skate more than 90 miles over two days in September.
“Multiple sclerosis affects lives every moment of every year. At any time, someone with MS may suddenly be unable to stand up, hug their child or see a friend across the room.
This year, I'll be participating in the National MS Society's annual MS Bike Tour as a road skater to help raise funds for research and local programs. It's a small thing for me to do for people who face the devastating and relentless effects of MS every day. With each mile I skate, I hope to raise awareness that may bring the National MS Society closer to a cure," said Tom, Revware's President.
The Tour to Tanglewood is a yearly cycling event that serves to raise money in the effort to find a cure for MS. The tour takes place this year on September 26th and 27th between Greensboro and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, traversing the local countryside via the hilly back roads. Day one provides the opportunity for participants to travel up to100 miles. Day two is a more direct 45 mile return route.
